• Part-time We're looking for a customer friendly Veterinary assistant who assist our Veterinarian during his daily tasks in our clinic. Position is part time and is available to work 3-5 days per week
• additional hours available/ flexible schedule.

Duties involve assisting our Veterinarian when needed to restrain patients (dogs, cats), administer blood work, perform lab tests, monitor patients during and after surgery, etc.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately Strong organizational and multitasking skills Excellent communication and customer service skills Willingness to learn and take direction Ability to work well in a team environment Basic computer skills for record-keeping and scheduling

Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will support our veterinary technicians and veterinarians in providing top-notch medical care to our patients This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a genuine love for animals Assist Veterinary technicians and Veterinarians with daily tasks and procedures Prepare exam rooms and surgical areas, ensuring cleanliness and organization Restrain and handle animals during examinations and treatments Assist with laboratory tests, including blood draws, urinalysis, and fecal exams Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by the veterinarian Maintain accurate and detailed patient records Educate and communicate with pet owners about proper pet care and medical procedures Perform general housekeeping duties, including cleaning and sterilizing equipment
