Kennel Attendant

Responsibilities:

• Provide daily care for animals in the kennel, including feeding, watering, and exercise
• Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and common areas
• Monitor the health and well-being of animals and report any concerns to the supervisor
• Assist with grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming
• Administer medications or treatments as directed by veterinary staff
• Assist veterinarians or veterinary technicians during examinations or procedures
• Handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments safely and confidently
• Provide excellent customer service to pet owners, answering questions and addressing concerns

Skills:

• Experience in animal handling and care, preferably in a kennel or veterinary setting
• Knowledge of basic pet grooming techniques is a plus
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physically demanding tasks
• Familiarity with veterinary assistant or technician duties is beneficial
• Strong communication skills and ability to provide exceptional customer service
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
