Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated team as an Animal Adoption Counselor, where your passion for animals and exceptional customer service skills will make a meaningful difference in the lives of countless pets and their future families. In this vital role, you will serve as the compassionate bridge between animals in our care and loving adopters, guiding potential pet owners through the adoption process with enthusiasm, expertise, and empathy. Your efforts will help ensure each animal finds a safe, caring home while promoting responsible pet ownership within the community. Duties Engage with visitors to educate them about available animals, their needs, and adoption procedures Review assessments of animals' temperaments and health to match them with suitable adopters Provide guidance on pet care, veterinary needs, and training techniques to new pet owners Maintain detailed records of each adoption process, including health history and behavioral notes Promote responsible pet ownership Requirements Prior experience with animal handling, including dog training, veterinary technician or assistant roles, or kennel experience (preferred, not required) Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor Experience working with a variety of animals, including dogs and cats, is highly desirable Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and compassion Join us in creating happy endings for pets and their new families! From $16.00 per hour
