Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in animal care and a strong desire to support our veterinarians and veterinary technicians in providing high-quality medical care to our patients. This role is essential in ensuring the well-being of animals while delivering excellent service to pet owners. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians during examinations, treatments, and procedures. Provide compassionate handling and restraint of animals for exams and treatments. Administer medications and treatments under veterinary supervision. Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms, kennels, and treatment areas. Assist with animal care, including feeding, bathing, and post-surgical monitoring. Educate pet owners on basic pet care, nutrition, and preventive health. Prepare and sanitize surgical instruments and equipment. Stock and maintain inventory of clinic supplies. Qualifications At least one year of experience in a veterinary or animal care setting preferred. Familiarity with veterinary terminology and basic animal handling techniques. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to animal care. Willingness to learn and take direction from veterinarians and senior team members.
