We have openings for veterinary assistants to assist in all aspects of end-of-life care, from connecting with families during that very first phone call, through the return of their beloved pets' ashes to their home and everything in between. Angel's Paws provides a special level of care in this process that assures the pet parent that their pet is being treated with dignity, love, and respect the entire time they are in our care. They stay snuggled in a warm blanket and pillow until time for their cremation. We do not have any freezers on our property. Angel's Paws' mission is to be a blessing to people by helping them connect to the support and resources they need for the loss or impending loss of a beloved pet. We take care of "both ends of the leash (or cat carrier)" by providing in home euthanasia services, private cremation for pets and emotional support including grief counseling and pet loss support groups for the families. Because we provide such a different level of care… We need your talents to… Coordinate support services that will provide a beautiful and dignified transition experience for pets and their families Offer emotional support to people who consider their pets family Perform high quality, private, cremation services (training provided) Create personalized memorial packages for pets in our care Coordinate support services that will provide a beautiful and dignified transition experience for pets and their families Schedule clinical appointments and aftercare wishes Computer literacy and willingness to use company software Transport pets lovingly from their homes into our care with compassion and dignity A valid driver's license, clean driving record and willingness to drive company car Offer emotional support to people who consider their pets family Schedule and host chapel returns Assist families in selecting the perfect urn or memento they can cherish The successful candidate will be… Someone who is compassionate and detail oriented Enjoys working with and communicating with the public Willingness to learn and provide amazing customer service the Angel's Paws way Has the ability to lift heavy pets (up to 200 lbs with assistance of another person) Has the ability to do light maintenance, building and equipment repair Cremation experience not required, we will help train the right person, but recognition that this position works with deceased beloved pets Valid driver's license and willingness to drive company car Ability to work independently and as a team player
Schedule:
Full-time, 10-hour workdays Wednesday through Saturday on a rotating 4/3 schedule resulting in 3 days off one week and 4 days off the next
