Job Description

Veterinary Receptionist / Veterinary Assistant The Animal Care Center at Granville is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented individual to join our growing veterinary team as a Veterinary Receptionist / Assistant. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys both client interaction and hands-on patient care. The successful candidate will help provide exceptional service to our clients while assisting our medical team in delivering outstanding veterinary care.
Position Details Hours:
20-35 hours per week
Schedule:
Weekdays with occasional evenings and rotating
Saturdays Location:
Granville, Ohio Compensation:
Based on experience ResponsibilitiesReception Duties Greet clients and patients with a friendly, professional attitude Answer multi-line phones and schedule appointments Process payments and maintain accurate records Respond to client questions and relay messages to medical staff Manage incoming medical records and prescription requests Maintain a clean and organized reception area Veterinary Assistant Duties Restrain and handle patients safely and compassionately Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas Perform basic laboratory tasks and patient care duties Monitor hospitalized patients Assist with cleaning, stocking, and maintaining the hospital Qualifications Previous veterinary, animal care, medical office, or customer service experience preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Comfortable working with dogs, cats, and occasionally anxious or fearful animals Positive attitude and willingness to learn Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and spend extended periods standing What We're Looking For We are searching for someone who is: Compassionate toward pets and their owners Reliable and punctual Team-focused and adaptable Professional under pressure Passionate about providing excellent customer service and patient care Benefits May Include Employee pet care discounts Paid training and continuing education opportunities Supportive and collaborative work environment Opportunity for growth within the practice How to Apply Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter explaining why you'd be a great fit for our team.
