Veterinary Assistant

Dayton South Veterinary Clinic is seeking a part time or full time veterinary assistant to join our busy 2 doctor small animal, avian, & exotics practice. Job responsibilities include but not limited to restraint of animals for examinations or procedures, assisting with radiographs, running in house lab work & fecal testing, filling prescription medications, and medication administration under supervision of veterinarians and veterinary technicians. Good communication skills are needed to interact with clients as well as competent computer skills. Kennel duties are also a responsibility which includes taking care of dogs, cats, pocket pets, and reptiles who are boarding at the hospital. Experience with Cornerstone software and Idexx laboratory machines is a plus. Prior veterinary experience is preferred for applicants. Salary is competitive based on experience level. Morning, evening, and weekend availability is needed. Weekend availability to help with boarding duties is a must
