Job Overview Join our dedicated team as a Kennel Technician and become a vital part of providing exceptional animal care in a fast-paced, compassionate environment. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and comfortable kennels for a variety of animals, ensuring their well-being through attentive husbandry and handling. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a positive experience for both animals and clients alike. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your veterinary and animal care skills while making a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their owners. Responsibilities Clean, disinfect, and maintain kennels, cages, and surrounding areas to uphold hygiene standards Feed, water, and monitor animals' health status according to established protocols Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques to prevent injury or stress Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinary staff Assist with animal restraint during examinations or procedures, ensuring safety for both animals and staff Support veterinary technicians with laboratory tasks, sample collection, or basic animal assessments Maintain detailed records of animal care activities, medication schedules, and behavioral observations Assist at the front desk by scheduling appointments, answering client inquiries, and managing patient records when needed Experience Previous kennel experience or animal husbandry background preferred Veterinary technician or veterinary clinic experience highly desirable Familiarity with veterinary terminology and medical procedures such as medication administration and aseptic technique Experience handling dogs, cats, or other small animals with confidence and compassion Knowledge of animal physiology, anatomy, and basic laboratory procedures is advantageous Strong animal handling skills combined with excellent communication abilities are essential for success in this role Join us to be part of a passionate team committed to delivering top-tier pet care!
