Why You'll Love Working Here You'll save lives every day You'll work with a team that genuinely cares Every day brings something new You'll be part of helping pets in underserved communities Endless puppy kisses, kitten cuddles and feel-good moments included What you'll be doing Assisting with daily surgical flow in a High-Volume/High-Quality setting Perform high volume induction, intubation, anesthesia monitoring, preparation and recovery for cats and dogs. Support safe patient handling Maintain a clean, efficient, and organized surgical environment Communicate clearly with team members to keep the day running smoothly Helping create a positive experience for clients, staff, volunteers and pets. Follow established protocols to support patient safety and clinic efficiency Working as part of a hardworking, supportive, animal loving team. What Makes You a Great Fit Veterinary assistant experience required Experience in a HVHQ Spay neuter clinic preferred Ability to work independently while collaborating with veterinarian and team members. Ability to lift at least 40lbs and handle pets safely. Comfort with fear free/ feline friendly handling. Excellent communication and teamwork skills Able to multitask and adapt in a fast moving environment Calm under pressure with strong attention to detail Positive attitude and willingness to jump in wherever needed Compassion towards both animals and people Reliable, motivated and ready to learn This is an active, hands on position.
You must be able to:
Be on your feet for long periods of time Safely handle animals of all sizes Lift and carry up to 45lbs with assistance when needed Bend, kneel and move throughout the clinic during the day Schedule This is an hourly position requiring flexibility. Typical schedules range from 25-30hrs weekly, with scheduling based on clinic needs. This position does offer employee discounts.
