Position Overview:
As a Veterinary Surgery/Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in our hospitalization team. You will be responsible for ensuring efficient and expedited anesthetic and aseptic procedures, as well as closely monitoring patients during surgery. Your attention to detail and ability to adapt to case-specific variations will be essential in maintaining the highest medical quality for every pet, every time. The same applies for inpatient care: from ultra sounding to CRI you'll be working hand in hand with our Doctors to provide stellar care.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer anesthesia and ensure its safe and efficient use. Maintain aseptic conditions during surgical procedures. Monitor patients during surgery and recovery. Manage common complications under anesthesia and sedation. Collaborate with the veterinary surgical team to provide exceptional patient care. Assist with surgical preparations, including patient positioning and sterile instrument handling. Maintain accurate surgical records and documentation.
Qualifications:
Minimum of [2 years] of experience as a Veterinary Assistant. Proficiency in anesthetic and aseptic techniques. Strong understanding of anesthesia medications and common risks. Attention to detail and adaptability to case-specific variations. Ability to manage common complications under anesthesia. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Passion for providing exceptional care to pets. Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) strongly encouraged to apply.
