Our goal is to give the best quality veterinary care while allowing our staff to have a great work-life balance. Cornell Center is looking to hire a veterinary assistant to support our growing DVM team. We are a small team that prides ourselves in excellent patient care and client communication. Our practice is looking for a person who enjoys working as a team, cares about those around them, and is truly interested in the highest quality medicine we can offer. Skills Required The person joining our team will be an integral part of the daily workflow and morale of the clinic. Our perfect candidate is well organized and loves what they do. We love to teach and want everyone to continue to grow their skill set. It is important that candidates are willing to learn and be hands-on in their learning. Important Job Tasks Time management and attention to detail. Monitoring, recording, and reporting physical signs of pets. Thorough client communication and education. Scribing and thorough medical documentation.
SQ, IM, IV
injections and IV catheter placement. Collecting blood, urine, skin, and fecal samples. Cytology including urine, gram stains, FNAs, manual blood counts, ear slides, etc. Gentle handling and fear free techniques with cats and dogs. Requirements 2+ years of veterinary assistant experience.
