In this role, you will support our doctors and technical team in providing exceptional patient care while creating a welcoming and positive experience for clients and their pets. Duties include assisting with physical examinations, dental procedures, surgery, immunizations, hospitalized patient care, laboratory work, prescription preparation, inventory management, and client education. Technical staff also assist with shared phone responsibilities as needed. Responsibilities & Skills Qualified candidates should be comfortable performing or assisting with: Patient restraint using low-stress and safe handling techniques Phlebotomy and IV catheter placement Digital radiography and dental radiography Dental cleanings and assisting with dental procedures Anesthesia monitoring and surgical support Managing technician appointments and educating clients on veterinary care Proper setup and processing of laboratory samples and diagnostic testing Maintaining accurate records and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment Working collaboratively with doctors and team members Multitasking, staying organized, and completing tasks efficiently and professionally Providing excellent communication and customer service Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to: Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb for extended periods Lift, carry, and move up to 40 pounds Work efficiently in a busy clinical setting Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required 1-2 years of experience in a veterinary clinic or animal shelter preferred; however, a combination of relevant education and experience will be considered A positive attitude, strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to excellent client and patient care are essential Desire to continue learning and growing professionally within veterinary medicine Job Type Full-time Benefits Employee discount Paid time off Professional development assistance Uniform allowance Flexible schedule Health insurance Disability Insurance Schedule Day shift No weekends No on-call duties Work Location In person — Damascus, OR 97089 Candidates must be able to reliably commute to or relocate to the area prior to starting employment.
