Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist

Join our team at All Creatures Animal Hospital in Eagle Point, Oregon, where compassion meets professionalism! We are currently seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant or Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our veterinary clinic.

$17.00/hour-$24.00/hour with potential for increase within the first 90 days. Starting wage is determined by your individual experience in veterinary medicine.

Responsibilities:

Safely monitor patients under anesthesia Assist with dental cleaning procedures Place IV catheters Perform blood draws Administer medications Nail trims and basic grooming duties Cleaning kennels and equipment Monitor hospitalized patients while following Doctors treatment plans Take X-Rays Gather patient history efficiently and accurately Create labels for medications prescribed by our veterinarians and ensure correct dosages are dispensed Perform tasks such as running fecal and urine samples to assist in diagnostic procedures. Uphold basic math skills for tasks such as medication counting Pay meticulous attention to detail when updating medical records Strong spelling skills are preferred

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred X-Ray certification preferred Previous experience in a similar role Basic math knowledge Excellent communication skills Demonstrated ability to show compassion towards clients and their pets Willingness to go above and beyond to provide exceptional service
