Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for animal care and have experience working in veterinary settings. This role involves supporting veterinarians and veterinary technicians in delivering exceptional medical care, ensuring smooth clinic operations, and maintaining a safe and clean environment for animals and staff alike. Responsibilities Assist with animal restraint and handling to ensure safety during examinations, treatments, and procedures. Support veterinary technicians with medication administration, laboratory procedures, and animal husbandry tasks. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kennels, treatment areas, and equipment following aseptic techniques. Help with pet care activities such as feeding, bathing, grooming, and monitoring animal behavior. Manage front desk duties including appointment scheduling, client communication, and record keeping. Assist with animal catheterization, sample collection, and basic laboratory testing under supervision. Provide compassionate dog handling and support pet owners by offering guidance on pet care and post-treatment instructions. Qualifications Prior kennel experience or veterinary clinic experience is highly desirabl Experience with animal restraint techniques, medication administration, and aseptic procedures. Familiarity with laboratory procedures related to veterinary medicine is preferred. Strong animal handling skills across various species including dogs , cats, and small mammals. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members A genuine passion for animal welfare combined with a proactive attitude towards learning new skills in veterinary medicine. $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
