Job Description
Full time position in very busy equine veterinary practice based in Desert Hills. Experience as a veterinary technician would be extremely beneficial but not necessary. Candidate needs to be highly organized, able to multitask, ability to think proactively, and work independently. Dependable car needed to run errands. Excellent communication skills necessary with doctors, staff, and clients.
Primary duties include:
Anything necessary to support the efficiency of front office
Reception phone
scheduling appointments, taking payments, client service
Appointment support
billing services, checking out clients, preparing medications to go home
ordering, receiving shipments and unpacking boxes, stocking pharmacy, liaison with drug reps, price checking
Shipping and logistics
drop shipping to clients, equipment maintenance and shipping to remote work locations
Laboratory liaison
outside labwork packaging and shipping, in house lab support to include keeping lab stocked, lab machine maintenance and interface with practice software
Xray and Ultrasound back up (getting images into patients files, emailing studies)
