Job Description

Job Overview Join our overnight team as a Treatment Assistant in our Equine Hospital, where your dedication and equine care will make a meaningful difference. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the well-being of hospitalized equine patients through attentive care and monitoring as well as performing prescribed treatments and administering medications. If you're passionate about animal health, thrive in a fast-paced, busy environment, and are eager to develop your veterinary skills, this position is perfect for you! Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Monitoring and caring for hospitalized equine patients during overnight hours Administering prescribed treatments and medications as directed Observing and reporting any changes in patient condition Collect, process & record laboratory samples. Maintaining a clean work environment Assisting with emergency cases/surgeries as needed Maintaining detailed and accurate patient records Continuing training and growth within the practice Requirements Equine handling experience Veterinary clinical experience (preferred, but not required) Excellent communication skills for working effectively with veterinary staff and clients during overnight shifts Ability to work overnight hours Ability to work together as a team or independently, work in fast paced, busy environment Ability to categorize & prioritize patient care needs.
Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
