Job Description

Veterinary Assistant/Customer Service Representative Beesley Animal Clinic is hiring a full time Vet Assistant/Customer Service Representative to work alongside our small and dedicated team to ensure each animal receives the best possible care during their stay with us. Who We Are:
Beesley Animal Clinic provides low cost spay/neuter services, vaccinations, and limited Wellness Services to all of Middle Tennessee. In 2025 we performed over 2,800 spay/neuter surgeries and have over 21,000 vaccinations. We believe that every pet deserves a healthy life, and every owner deserves access to compassionate support.
Essential Responsibilities:
Handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately. Safely administer medications and vaccinations. Helps check in surgery patients and effectively communicates if any changes need to be adjusted on patients' surgery cards. Throughout the day is able to maintain a smooth workflow between curbside services, Wellness appointments, and watching and responding to clients text, voicemails, and online surgery submissions. Processes cash, checks, charge card payments and credit account payments. Schedules appointments and surgeries for the clinic adhering to practice and Doctor preferences and ensuring appropriate workflow. Assists in the updating of client/patient files, as needed. Prepares and sends client correspondence through text messages and emails. Welcomes clients and patients to the practice with a warm and friendly demeanor and ensures an excellent experience during the practice visit. Answers incoming telephone calls applying proper telephone etiquette. Presents clients with medications, instructions, and any other take home items at time of discharge. Addresses client concerns in a calm appropriate manner, ensuring every experience ends in satisfaction.
Essential Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED At least 18 years of age at the time of hire At least 1 year of veterinary industry experience Understanding and ability to properly, and safely, restrain animals Knowledgeable on veterinary medical terminology and medication Lift 50 lbs to waist height Frequent standing, bending, walking, lifting,and carrying for up to 8 hours. Strong organizational skills and multi-tasking ability. Excellent communication & listening skills Self-motivated & team-oriented

Schedule:
