Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team. . This role requires a love for animals, team work, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Previous veterinary clinic experience is a plus as you need to understand cat/dog behavior, prepping surgical packs, autoclave use/maintenance, etc. Responsibilities Greet clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all documentation is up-to-date. Prep pets for surgery and support post surgical recovery. Clean kennels and launder bedding. Give vaccines, trim nails, and provide supplemental fluids. Clean, prep, and sterilize surgical instrument packs Qualifications Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care environment is preferred. Knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and basic veterinary terminology is highly desirable. Familiarity with aseptic techniques and veterinary critical care practices is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a busy setting. Compassionate attitude towards animals and their owners. Ability to handle animals safely and comfortably in various situations.
