Job Description

We are looking exclusively for a veterinary assistant who is truly passionate about providing compassionate animal care and making a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their families in our community. The ideal candidate understands how to prioritize effectively and always makes patient care their highest priority. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic veterinary assistant who is eager to join a positive, supportive team that is committed to teaching, mentoring, and helping every new team member succeed. The Veterinary Assistant is the first point of contact for clients. In this role, you'll deliver excellent customer service, support pet care, manage client flow, schedule appointments, handle inquiries, and help keep the hospital clean and organized. You'll follow all safety and infection-control protocols and work closely with clients, pets, and the team to maintain a welcoming, professional environment. Key Responsibilities Greet clients, check in/out, and manage patient flow. Assist with safe pet handling and basic patient care under veterinary supervision. Maintain cleanliness of the hospital, restock supplies. Accurately document information and follow hospital policies and safety protocols. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (GED). Team player with a positive, professional attitude. Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.m Self-motivated; able to work independently and complete tasks efficiently. Bilingual (Spanish/English). Strong multitasking skills with attention to detail; friendly and courteous. Punctual and dependable with reliable transportation. Previous experience with animal handling/care preferred. Genuine compassion for animals and commitment to their well-being.
