You will be at the forefront of animal husbandry, handling a variety of species, and ensuring a safe, clean, and compassionate environment for every pet. All paid positions include comprehensive training to help you succeed and grow within the veterinary field. Duties Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians during examinations, treatments, and surgeries by preparing equipment and maintaining sterile environments using aseptic techniques. Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques to minimize stress and ensure safety for both animals and staff. Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments accurately following veterinary instructions while monitoring animal responses. Support kennel operations by cleaning, feeding, grooming, and providing basic care for hospitalized or boarding animals. Manage front desk responsibilities including scheduling appointments, answering client inquiries, and maintaining detailed patient records. Conduct animal husbandry tasks such as feeding, bathing, and monitoring vital signs to promote optimal health. Assist with laboratory procedures including sample collection, processing specimens, and recording results to aid in diagnostics. Support pet owners with educational information on pet care, nutrition, and post-treatment instructions to ensure continued health at home. Qualifications Prior kennel experience or animal handling experience is highly preferred; familiarity with dog handling and equine, bovine, and/or exotic care is a plus. Strong knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and veterinary terminology to effectively support clinical procedures. Experience in animal restraint techniques, medication administration, and aseptic procedures is desirable. Background in veterinary technician or veterinary clinic work demonstrating familiarity with laboratory procedures and critical care practices. Excellent communication skills for front desk duties and client interactions; ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, lifting animals or supplies safely, and performing detailed animal restraint when necessary.
