We are located in Lake Highlands and well established with a real connection to our community for over 40 years! Our ideal Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist must have exceptional customer service and team oriented. Applicant would be self-motivated, have great communication skills, be computer savvy, detail oriented and able to handle high-stress situations. You'll play an important role in bringing comfort to our furry patients and ensuring the smooth running of our facility.
Responsibilities:
Greet and check-in clients and their pets with a friendly and professional demeanor Answer phone calls, schedule anesthesia appointments, and manage the appointment calendar Collect and update patient information, including medical history Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with various procedures and treatments Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area, waiting room, and exam room Process payments and handle billing inquiries
Requirements:
Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is preferred Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures Familiarity with animal physiology and behavior Ability to handle animals with care and compassion, including restraint when necessary Proficiency in using computer systems for managing records and invoicing Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Knowledge of aseptic techniques for maintaining cleanliness in the clinic Understanding of laboratory procedures and ability to assist with sample collection
