Experienced Veterinary Technician/Assistant

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technician/Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care, is a team player and possess the necessary skills to assist in providing high-quality veterinary services within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

• Surgery and Anesthesia skills are a

MUST HAVE

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a veterinary technician or equivalent education/training
• Proficient in handling dogs and cats
• Experience with laboratory procedures, including sample collection and analysis
• Knowledge of animal catheterization techniques and administration of fluids
• Familiarity with kennel management and pet care

Duties:

• Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
• Perform routine procedures such as vaccinations, blood draws, and wound care
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
• Monitor and record vital signs of animals during procedures and treatments
• Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures
• Perform digital radiography of animals as needed
• Perform dental radiography and dental cleanings under the supervision of veterinarians
• Provide post-operative care and monitor recovery of animals
• Maintain accurate records of patient care and treatment The ideal candidate will also possess the following skills:
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent problem-solving skills to address unexpected situations or emergencies
