We pay per hour not commission. Client tips are welcomed and paid out on the biweekly employee paycheck. Four-day work week options available Scheduling flexibility Guaranteed lunch breaks Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Groomer to join our veterinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for pet grooming and animal care, with experience in handling various animals and providing exceptional grooming services. This role offers an opportunity to work in a nurturing environment while ensuring pets look and feel their best. Duties Perform professional grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and maintaining the hygiene of pets such as dogs and cats. Handle animals with care, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the grooming process. Utilize pet handling techniques to manage animals during grooming procedures effectively. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of grooming equipment and workspaces in accordance with health standards. Assist with pet care activities such as feeding, walking, and basic veterinary support when needed. Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about grooming needs and recommendations. Support veterinary staff with animal restraint during examinations or procedures when necessary. Requirements Proven experience in pet grooming, dog handling, or animal care roles such as veterinary technician or assistant. Knowledge of veterinary experience is highly desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for handling large or heavy animals. Strong animal handling skills, including animal restraint. Familiarity with pet grooming tools, techniques, and safety protocols. Excellent customer service skills with a respectful and professional demeanor. Prior kennel experience or veterinary assistant background is a plus. Physical stamina to perform tasks that involve standing for extended periods and lifting heavy animals.
