Pay:
$17.00 - $25.00 per hour Job description: Veterinary Technician - Job Summary Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Veterinary Technician, where your passion for animal care and technical expertise will make a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their owners. In this vital role, you will assist veterinarians in delivering high-quality medical care, perform diagnostic procedures, and support the overall well-being of animals. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to grow your clinical skills in a compassionate, collaborative, and fast-paced environment dedicated to exceptional patient care. Key Responsibilities Safely restrain and handle animals with confidence and care Perform laboratory testing, collect and prepare samples, and operate diagnostic equipment (including radiography) Assist with administering medications as directed Perform technical skills such as catheter placement, IV administration, and critical care support Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, including treatment notes and patient updates Monitor hospitalized patients and report changes in condition to the veterinary team Communicate effectively with team members and assist in coordinating patient care Skills & Qualifications Experience handling dogs, cats, and small animals with strong restraint skills Knowledge of veterinary terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic care practices Laboratory experience including sample collection, processing, and interpretation of diagnostic results Familiarity with radiology (X-ray) procedures and safety protocols Strong communication skills with the ability to educate and support pet owners Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Client & Team Interaction Serve as a key point of contact for pet owners Educate clients on treatment plans, medications, and aftercare Assist with reviewing medical records and invoicing Provide clear, compassionate communication and answer client questions confidently Culture & Work Environment We pride ourselves on maintaining a supportive, collaborative, and positive workplace.
