Job Description
Job Overview Our beautiful, brand new Herriman Pet Vet & Emergency Hospital is finally open! Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Veterinary Technician and become a vital part of providing exceptional animal care! In this energetic role, you will assist veterinarians in delivering comprehensive medical services, ensuring the well-being of a diverse range of animals. Your expertise will help create a positive, compassionate environment where pet owners feel confident and animals receive top-tier treatment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your veterinary skills and grow professionally within a supportive setting. Duties Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures with animal restraint, catheterization, and aseptic techniques Perform laboratory tests, prepare samples, and operate diagnostic equipment such as X-ray machines to support accurate diagnoses Handle animals safely using proper animal handling techniques, including dog training and pet grooming when necessary Maintain detailed records of animal treatments, laboratory results, and medical histories in compliance with veterinary terminology and protocols Support dental procedures by understanding dental terminology and assisting with cleaning, scaling, and other oral care tasks Monitor animal physiology during recovery from anesthesia or critical care situations, ensuring their safety and comfort Manage kennel duties including feeding, cleaning, and caring for hospitalized or boarded animals with compassion and attention to detail

- Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous veterinary experience in a clinical setting preferred
- Experience with animal handling and restraint techniques
- Proficiency in administering anesthesia, medications and treatments to animals
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and veterinary staff
Hours of Operation:
