Full Job Description Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess relevant experience in veterinary settings.

Responsibilities:

• Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures
• Handle and restrain animals during treatments
• Perform basic animal care tasks such as feeding, grooming, and exercising
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the veterinary facility
• Administer medications as directed by veterinarians
• Provide support to pet owners and answer basic inquiries about animal health

Experience:

• Prior experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting is preferred
• Knowledge of animal husbandry practices and aseptic techniques is beneficial
• Familiarity with handling various animals including dogs, cats, and possibly equine species is advantageous
• Experience with dog training, pet sitting, or dog handling is a plus

Requirements:

• Certification or training as a Veterinary Assistant is desirable but not mandatory
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
• Comfortable with handling animals of different temperaments and sizes
