Job Description

Cat Hospital of Fairfax is looking for a part-time compassionate and skilled Veterinary Assistant who loves to work with cats. At our Rarebreed clinic, you can help reimagine the veterinary experience in your community. Our cohesive environment means you'll practice gold standard medicine and surgery. We are a full-service medical center for cats specializing in preventive medicine, responsive treatment, and collaboration with owners. WHAT YOU'LL DO
Provide compassionate care to pet patients and their loved ones Keep accurate medical records in accordance with hospital policy Prepare and maintain the exam rooms and treatment areas Perform physical assessments and record your observations Prepare estimates for procedures and discusses financial commitments with clients Explain necessary follow-up and home care instructions Stock clinic treatment area and exam rooms, and inform inventory manager when supplies need to be ordered Care for all surgical materials and keep the operating room properly stocked and prepared for surgery Our Comprehensive benefit package includes: 401(k) with a total company match up to 4%, after 6 months of employment Flexible scheduling Continuing education allowance and professional development support Mental Health Resources Company paid bonding leave or applicable state provided bonding leave Perks for Your Pets Too! REQUIREMENTS 1
