Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Internal Medicine Assistant to support our Internal Medicine service. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced clinical setting, enjoys patient care, and values strong client communication.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist veterinarians and LVTs with outpatient internal medicine appointments and procedures Obtain and record patient histories, vitals, and diagnostics Prepare patients for procedures and provide gentle, compassionate restraint Handle laboratory samples (blood, urine, fecal) and assist with in-house diagnostics Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and treatment areas Communicate effectively with clients regarding patient care and follow-up instructions Support medical record documentation and ensure accuracy in EzyVet Assist with inventory and stocking of supplies

Qualifications:

Previous veterinary experience required (assistant experience preferred) Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a team environment Compassionate, patient-focused mindset Experience with EzyVet or similar software is a plus
