Job Description

We are currently seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our close-knit team. Here, you'll find a refreshing alternative to the impersonal, corporate practices. Responsibilities:
  • Assisting veterinarians and lead technician in providing optimal care to animals
  • Obtaining accurate vitals & medical histories, note any changes of patient's condition to the veterinarian
  • Assisting veterinarians by restraining animals in a safe, efficient, and caring manner
  • Collecting and preparing laboratory samples such as fecal, urine, and ear cytologies
  • Assisting veterinarian and/or lead technician with preparing animals and instruments for surgery
  • Monitoring animals after surgery and maintaining complete and accurate medical records
  • Engaging in open and compassionate communication with pet owners to help them maintain their pets' health
Qualifications:
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Capability to handle, lift, and restrain animals
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and remain adaptable in a fast-paced environment
