We're currently look to hire a full or part time experienced veterinary assistant. Location Our facility is located in Henrico County, Virginia, a quick 15-minute drive from the historical downtown Richmond, Virginia. Home to a river that runs straight through the community, you get the best riverside view and paddling trips. Only 1.5 hours East from Virginia Beach, Virginia, and 1 hour West of the Blue Ridge Mountains, there is something to do every weekend to enjoy the outdoors. What You'll Be Working On Helping to answering phones and directing calls Assisting doctor in room appointments Gathering, prepping and running lab samples Scheduling appointment via phone, texting and our hospital app. Medical record scribing for appointments Taking payments. Responding to client voicemails in pharmacy and treatment voicemail Taking radiographs Restraining patients for sample collection and treatments Filling Prescriptions Effectively communicating with client for doctor. Preferred Skills and Experience 1 year experience in the veterinary field strongly preferred Good at multitasking Avimark, Idexx, Weave or Petdesk experience is a plus Animal Restraint Experience preferred but not required Blood draw experience preferred but not required
