Pet Care Attendant

Job Summary Middle Plantation Animal Hospital is looking for a Part-time Pet Care Attendant to join our Family! This is a Part-time position requiring weekday and rotating weekend work as a kennel tech. Kennel duties include walking dogs (both hospitalized and boarding), cleaning runs & cages (in both the kennel and hospital areas), feeding pets in the kennel, and maintaining the overall cleanliness of the hospital. Kennel techs have the ability to cross train and learn the following Veterinary Assistant skills: Veterinary Assistant critical skills include, but are not limited to:

• assisting veterinarians and licensed technicians with patient care
• restraint for blood draws
• running in-house lab work
• assisting with diagnostic quality digital x-rays
• monitoring of hospitalized patients
• providing treatments to hospitalized patients caring for boarding animals (i.

e. kennel tasks, cleaning & disinfecting, walks, etc.)proficiency in the proper handling & restraint of patients. This position requires a responsible individual who is capable of working independently. A caring and compassionate attitude is required of all members of our team.
