Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant/Veterinary Receptionist to join our team at a busy veterinary clinic. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care, and providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations of our veterinary clinic. This role involves assisting veterinarians in providing high-quality care to pets, ensuring their comfort and safety during visits, and maintaining a clean and organized clinic environment. This role requires a genuine love for animals, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Handle front desk duties including scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, take payments, closing duties, and managing patient records. Assist veterinarians during examinations Provide proper restraint for animals during treatment to ensure their safety and the safety of staff. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including exam rooms, surgical areas, and kennels. Qualifications Strong communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A compassionate attitude towards animals and their owners is crucial for success in this role. Willingness to learn about veterinary critical care practices as needed.
