Veterinary Assistant

Experienced Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist Needed! ​Are you a compassionate, organized, and team-oriented veterinary professional? ​We are a beloved, privately owned 4 doctor veterinary practice in downtown Arlington, serving the community for over 40 years! We're seeking a passionate individual to join our dedicated team as a part time Veterinary Assistant with some Receptionist responsibilities. ​In this role, you will be an essential part of our patient and client experience, with duties split between hands on clinical support and welcoming clients to our clinic. ​ Veterinary Assistant Duties include: -Assisting veterinarians and technicians with appointments, exams, and procedures (holding animals, preparing supplies, etc.). ​ -Basic animal restraint for exams, vaccinations, and blood draws.​ -Maintaining clean and organized exam rooms and treatment areas.​ -Processing laboratory samples (fecals, ear swabs, blood draws).​ -Providing compassionate care and monitoring to hospitalized patients.

Reception Duties include:

​ Provide a warm welcome to clients, answer phones, schedule appointments, check clients in/out, process payments, and manage electronic medical records.

What We Offer:

REQUIRED

Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant. You should be comfortable with animal handling and basic clinical procedures. ​

PREFERRED

Previous experience working as a veterinary receptionist. Experience with veterinary software is a plus- EzyVet. ​ We are looking for someone who has a deep commitment to animal welfare and providing exceptional patient care.​ Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for interactions with clients and staff.​ Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a busy environment.​ A positive, team-player attitude and a desire to contribute to a collaborative workspace. ​A strong work ethic and reliability.​
