$23.00 - $26.00 per hour Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT): $27.00 - $32.00 per hour Summit Animal Hospital | Camas, WA Summit Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant or Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to join our team in a relief and fill-in capacity. This position is ideal for someone looking for a flexible schedule, supplemental income, or occasional shifts while working with a supportive and collaborative veterinary team. While coverage needs may vary, Mondays are our highest-priority coverage day , and availability on Mondays is strongly preferred. We are a privately owned small animal practice that takes pride in providing exceptional patient care, excellent client service, and a positive workplace culture where team members genuinely support one another. What You'll Do Safely handle and restrain dogs and cats Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and procedures Perform phlebotomy and support in-house laboratory testing Assist with radiographs and maintain radiation safety standards Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical procedures (based on experience and credentials) Administer medications and provide patient treatments Assist with dental procedures Maintain accurate and thorough medical records Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients Support hospital organization, inventory management, and patient care workflows What We're Looking For Veterinary Assistant experience or current CVT credentials Minimum of 1 year of veterinary experience preferred Strong technical skills and confidence working in a fast-paced environment Dependable, adaptable, and willing to jump in where needed Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills Commitment to outstanding patient care and client service Experience with EzyVet practice management software is a plus Why Summit Animal Hospital?
