Job Summary:
Country Animal Hospital is a well-established, non-corporate practice in the picturesque community of Enumclaw. Our community offers great outdoor activities outside our back door and easy commutes to Seattle, Tacoma, and the mountains. Enjoy flexible, family-oriented scheduling for an optimal work-life balance. No on-call or weekend shifts required. 3 or 4 10-hour work days per week Continued Education Allowance License Reimbursement Scrub allowanceGenerous Pet Discount Duties:
Perform various veterinary procedures under the supervision of a licensed veterinarian Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed Assist with surgical procedures, including preparation, monitoring anesthesia, and post-operative care Conduct laboratory tests and analyze samples Provide nursing care to hospitalized animals Educate pet owners on proper animal care and treatment plans Maintain accurate medical records Clean and maintain equipment and work areasQualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience as a veterinary Assistant Knowledge of veterinary medicine, including anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology Proficient in animal restraint techniques Familiarity with aseptic technique and infection control protocols Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Proficient at performing dental and diagnostic radiographs Proficient at placing IV catheters and collecting blood samples If you are passionate about providing exceptional care to animals and working as part of a dedicated team, we would love to hear from you.
