• Part-time, Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Surgery Veterinary Technician as well as a Wellness Veterinary Technician to join our team.

The ideal candidates will have a passion for animal care and the ability to provide high-quality support in a veterinary setting. As a member of the team, you will play a crucial role in assisting veterinarians with medical procedures, ensuring the well-being of animals, and providing exceptional care to pets and their owners. Surgery Veterinary Technician Responsibilities:

• Provide the highest quality of technical nursing skills and patient care.
• Setup, assist, and monitor surgical procedures.
• Willingness to jump in and help all areas of the surgery room as needed.
• Ensure that surgery room is maintained according to clinic policies and standards.

Qualifications /

Skills Required:

• 3+ years of technician experience
• Venipuncture, catheter placement
• Radiology
• Anesthesia monitoring, surgical preparation and assisting
• Dentistry (cleaning, x-rays)
• Laboratory work
• Compassionate care for our animal patients and their owners.

Wellness (General Practice)

Veterinary Assistant Responsibilities:

• Work directly with veterinary technician to assist in performing diagnostics
• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
• Obtain accurate and complete history from pet parent.
• Sanitize exam rooms and treatment area in between patients and at opening and closing of day.
• Schedule follow up appointments and finalize charges for pet parents.

Qualifications /

Skills Required:

• 1+ year as assistant and / or veterinary assistant certification
• Safe animal handling & restraint (dogs, cats, fearful or fractious pets)
• Recognizing signs of stress, pain, or illness
• Basic nursing care
• Monitoring vitals (TPR)
• Cleaning ears, expressing anal glands (if allowed by your practice)
• Administering oral/topical medications (under supervision)
• Sanitation & infection control
• Proper cleaning/disinfection of exam rooms, kennels, and equipment
