We are looking for a Full-Time Medical Oncology Registered Veterinary Technician.
Location:
2310 Faraday Ave, Carlsbad, CA 92008
Compensation:
$28
  • 34 ALL dependent on education, experience, credentials, location, nature of practice, schedule, and additional responsibilities.
Schedule:
Full-Time, 4 X 10 alternative work week Why We Want You! As a member of the VCA team, you will support Technician and Doctor teams by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Your mission will be to win the confidence of every pet parent—by delivering an outstanding client experience—so we can provide exceptional care to every patient. You've worked hard for your credentials (CVT, RVT, LVT), and we want you to use the knowledge that you've invested your time and talent in. The skills that you will be utilizing include, but are not limited to: Physical examinations, patient assessment, and collecting patient histories Processing laboratory samples in-house Preparing laboratory samples for outside labs Managing medical records, reports, and correspondence Assist with Diagnostic Imaging (Radiology, Ultrasound, CT Scans) Assist with patient recovery Pharmacy Venipuncture/catheter placement Knowledge and experience with chemotherapy drugs and safety protocols Safe animal restraint and handling Strong multi-tasking skills Effective verbal, listening, and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively with team members of all hospital services
