Full-time Position Summary:

The Veterinary Technician supports veterinarians in providing high-quality medical care to animal patients. This role involves technical medical tasks, patient nursing, client communication, and maintaining a safe, efficient hospital environment. Veterinary Technicians are essential members of the healthcare team and ensure compassionate, competent care for all patients

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Care & Clinical Support Assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, and surgical procedures Obtain patient histories and perform preliminary physical assessments Safely restrain and handle animals of varying sizes and temperaments Provide nursing care, including catheter placement, bandaging, wound care, and administering fluids Monitor vital signs and patient comfort before, during, and after procedures Technical Skills Administer medications by oral, topical, injectable, and IV routes Proficient in simple and complex medical dosage calculations CRI calculations Induce, maintain, and monitor anesthesia Perform dental cleanings and basic oral assessments Collect samples (blood, urine, feces, cytology) and conduct laboratory tests Take and properly position patients for radiographs and other imaging Surgical & Diagnostic Support Prepare patients, equipment, and surgical suites Maintain sterile technique and assist with instrument handling Monitor anesthetic depth and patient stability throughout procedures Client Communication Educate clients on preventive care, nutrition, medications, and post-operative instructions Demonstrate home-care techniques and answer common client questions Support a positive, compassionate, and professional client experience Hospital Operations Maintain accurate and detailed medical records Clean, disinfect, and restock exam rooms and treatment areas Sanitize and wrap surgical instruments and oversee equipment maintenance Manage inventory of supplies and medications Follow safety protocols and hospital policies at all times Qualifications Degree from an accredited Veterinary Technology program (AAS/AS/BS) State licensure (LVT/RVT/CVT) Proficiency in handling animals, medical equipment, and laboratory procedures Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, emotionally demanding environment Bilingual (preferred but not required) Physical Requirements Ability to lift 40+ lbs and handle large or fractious animals safely Ability to stand, kneel, or bend for extended periods Comfort with exposure to allergens, zoonotic diseases, chemicals, and surgical environments

Compensation and Benefits:
