In this energetic role, you will assist veterinarians with medical procedures, provide compassionate animal handling, and ensure the highest standards of pet care. Your skills in animal husbandry, laboratory work, and veterinary terminology will be essential to delivering exceptional veterinary services in a fast-paced environment. Duties Strong knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and veterinary terminology. Ability to handle animals safely and effectively in a clinical setting. Knowledge of critical care practices for emergency or complex cases. Proficiency in laboratory procedures, including sample collection and processing. Experience with dog training, pet grooming, and animal catheterization techniques. Excellent communication and teamwork skills Qualifications & Experience Technical skills include (but aren't limited to): Blood and urine sample collection Dental cleanings and dental radiography Anesthesia monitoring Blood pressure monitoring Digital radiography IV catheter placement SQ, IM, and IV injections Use and maintenance of in-house laboratory equipment Prior veterinary technician experience preferred. Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) with an active license OR A Veterinary Assistant with very strong technical skills At least 2 years of hands-on veterinary technician experience Proven kennel experience or animal handling background highly desirable.
