Job Description

Veterinary Dental Specialties in Irvine is a trusted and experienced specialty facility with a focus on dental health. Our mission is to provide the best patient and dental care for our community. We pride ourselves on our outstanding customer service and exceptional patient care. We are seeking an experienced and passionate RVT / Veterinary Technician to join our team of dental professionals. This position offers the opportunity to work with Board Certified Dentists and Anesthesiologists. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of veterinary technician experience and great attention to detail. Knowledge of dental prophylaxis, dental radiology, and cone beam CT would be a bonus.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare patients for anesthesia, including IV catheter placement and pre-operative assessments Induce, monitor, and recover patients under general anesthesia Monitor and record anesthetic parameters (ECG, blood pressure, SpO₂, EtCO₂, temperature) Administer anesthetic and analgesic medications under veterinary direction Familiarity with performing dental radiographs and prophylaxis is a plus, though not a requirement Maintain a high level of professionalism, with a positive and motivating personality Frequent open communication with doctors and supporting staff Assist with inventory management of dental and anesthesia supplies Organize, upload, and maintain diagnostics, medical, and anesthetic records Maintain a clean and organized enviorment and equipment We offer volunteer opportunities to work with local wildlife rescues and zoos.
