Job Description

Job Overview Welcome a newly licensed Registered Veterinary Technician! We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Or Experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality care for animals while assisting veterinarians in various medical procedures. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of animal anatomy and husbandry, as well as the ability to handle and care for pets in a clinical setting. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures, ensuring aseptic technique is maintained. Perform routine laboratory tests and diagnostics, including X-rays and dental assessments. Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian. Monitor animal patients' health and behavior before, during, and after procedures. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient. Provide guidance to pet owners on animal care, nutrition, and preventive health measures. Handle animals safely and humanely during examinations and treatments. Support pet grooming needs as required, ensuring the comfort of the animals. Requirements Certification or degree in Veterinary Technology is preferred. Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and husbandry practices. Experience with dog handling and general animal handling techniques. Familiarity with dental terminology related to veterinary practices. Proficiency in performing X-ray procedures is a plus. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
