Job Description
We are a busy multiple doctor, mixed practice looking to add another member to our team. We are looking for an RVT with the following qualifications: Familiar with basic pharmacology California RVT license in good standing Proficient in safe and humane restraint 1 year of small animal dental experience Strong knowledge of veterinary medicine and procedures Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Compassionate and caring attitude towards animals Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals Perform laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging, venipunctures, SQ, IM, IV injections, IV catheters Servicing of in house lab equipment Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians Educating clients on proper animal care and treatment plans Maintaining medical histories and updating patient charts Maintaining an up-to-date order list Intubate and monitor anesthesia during surgical procedures Post procedure follow up calls Simple surgical closures Sterilizing surgical packs using the autoclave
