The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal care, veterinary procedures, and client communication. This role involves assisting veterinarians in providing high-quality medical care for a variety of animals, including dogs, cats, and pocket pets. Experience with blood draws, IVC placement, radiography, and critical care is highly valued. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures Perform animal restraint and handling with confidence and compassion Conduct laboratory tests including bloodwork, urinalysis, and other diagnostic procedures Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian Prepare animals for surgery and monitor anesthesia during procedures Performing x-rays Maintain detailed medical records Care for hospitalized animals, including feeding, cleaning, and monitoring vital signs Manage kennel duties including animal husbandry and ensuring a clean environment Requirements Previous veterinary technician experience preferred; relevant veterinary or animal care background required Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and critical care procedures Experience with laboratory techniques, X-ray imaging, IV catheterization, and aseptic techniques Strong animal handling skills including behavior and restraint Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration Kennel experience, disinfection and cleaning.
