The Role:
Outpatient Veterinary Technician As an Outpatient Technician, you will be a key part of delivering high-quality care to patients and clients from the moment they arrive through discharge. This position is ideal for technicians who enjoy a dynamic, client-facing environment, take pride in thorough patient workups, and are passionate about clear communication and exceptional service. You'll work closely with veterinarians and specialists to ensure every outpatient visit runs smoothly, efficiently, and with the highest standard of care. What You'll Do Patient Care Triage and assess incoming patients, recording vitals and histories Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed Collect and process diagnostic samples including bloodwork and urinalysis Prepare patients for and assist with diagnostic procedures and outpatient treatments Advanced Technical Skills Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and sample collection Operate and maintain diagnostic equipment Support specialty consultation appointments and follow-up care Assist with minor procedures in an outpatient setting Client Communication & Education Greet clients and patients with professionalism and warmth Clearly explain treatment plans, discharge instructions, and home care recommendations Provide updates throughout the visit and address client questions with confidence Build lasting relationships through compassionate, client-centered interactions Hospital Operations Maintain exam room cleanliness, organization, and supply readiness Manage patient flow and coordinate efficiently with front desk and clinical teams Follow hospital protocols and uphold high standards of care Support training and mentorship of team members Our Hospital & Environment Emergency and specialty hospital with a dedicated outpatient care team Advanced diagnostics and treatment capabilities Highly collaborative, team-driven culture Focus on gold-standard medicine and client satisfaction Supportive environment with continuous learning opportunities Schedule We offer a full range of scheduling options to fit your life! Who We're Looking For Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or experienced outpatient technician Strong communication skills and a client-first mindset Experience in general practice, specialty, or outpatient medicine preferred Skilled in patient assessment and technical procedures Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Friendly, compassionate, and detail-oriented Why Join Us?
