Overview Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Veterinary Technician and play a vital role in delivering exceptional animal care and support. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work closely with veterinarians, pet owners, and animals, ensuring that every patient receives compassionate, thorough treatment. You will be instrumental in assisting with medical procedures, animal handling, laboratory work, and critical care, all while maintaining a positive and proactive environment. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures with precision and care Collect and process medical samples including blood, urine, and tissue for laboratory testing Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques to ensure their comfort and safety Perform animal husbandry duties such as feeding, cleaning enclosures, and monitoring health status Administer treatments such as injections, medication delivery, and wound care under supervision Maintain detailed records of medical procedures, laboratory results, and patient histories using veterinary terminology Support pet owners with education on pet care, grooming needs, and behavioral training strategies Skills Strong knowledge of animal anatomy and veterinary terminology to assist effectively in clinical settings Proficiency in animal restraint techniques for safe handling of dogs, cats, and other small animals Experience with laboratory procedures including medical collection and aseptic techniques Ability to perform animal catheterization and manage critical care situations confidently Kennel experience combined with pet grooming skills to ensure clean and comfortable environments for animals Familiarity with equine experience is a plus for handling larger animals when needed Excellent animal handling skills across various species with a focus on safety and compassion Join us in making a difference in the lives of animals by providing top-tier veterinary support.
