Our core values guide everything we do: Honesty Reliability Respect Efficiency & Accuracy Having Fun While We Work We are seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT/RVT/LVT preferred) with at least 2 years of veterinary experience , although we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates strong technical aptitude, a positive attitude, and a desire to learn. Responsibilities The ideal candidate will be comfortable performing or willing to learn: Venipuncture and blood collection on canine and feline patients Placement and maintenance of intravenous catheters Administration of medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed Induction, monitoring, and recovery of anesthesia patients Surgical preparation and assistance Dental prophylaxis, dental radiography, and anesthesia monitoring during dental procedures Obtaining high-quality diagnostic radiographs while following radiation safety protocols Performing laboratory procedures including cytology preparation, urinalysis, fecal testing, and in-house diagnostics Collecting and processing laboratory samples Monitoring hospitalized patients and documenting treatments accurately Assisting veterinarians during examinations and medical procedures Calculating medication dosages accurately Maintaining accurate and complete medical records Educating clients regarding medications, preventive care, nutrition, and treatment plans Assisting with acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine appointments (training available) Maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient treatment and surgical area Supporting fellow team members to ensure excellent patient and client care What We're Looking For Strong technical and nursing skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy practice Dependable attendance and punctuality Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed Strong communication skills with both clients and coworkers Commitment to continual learning and professional growth Ability to work independently while remaining a supportive team player Why Cook Veterinary Hospital?
