- We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team.
Your expertise will help ensure the health and well-being of pets while assisting in various medical procedures and treatments.
The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal care and a commitment to providing exceptional service to both animals and their owners.
- Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures.
- Perform animal catheterization and maintain aseptic techniques throughout procedures.
- Monitor animal vital signs and administer medications as directed by the veterinarian.
- Provide basic nursing care, including wound care and administering injections.
- Conduct laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis.
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and preventive health measures.
- Maintain accurate medical records for each patient.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic or hospital environment.
- Handle dogs and other animals safely during examinations or treatments.
- Participate in pet grooming services as needed.
- Skills
- To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following skills:
- Proficient in animal catheterization techniques.
- Strong understanding of aseptic techniques to prevent infection.
- Knowledge of animal anatomy and physiology to assist in diagnostics.
- Experience in animal care practices, including husbandry and grooming.
- Ability to handle dogs and other pets with confidence and compassion.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with pet owners and team members.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- A genuine passion for veterinary medicine and a commitment to animal welfare.
