In this vital role, you will assist veterinarians in providing exceptional medical care, perform technical procedures, and ensure a safe and caring environment for pets and their owners. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help deliver compassionate, efficient, and high-quality veterinary services every day. CVT preferred but not necessary. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians with medical examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures using veterinary terminology and aseptic techniques. Perform animal restraint and handling with confidence, ensuring safety for both animals and staff. Handle animal catheterization, venipuncture, and other technical procedures with precision and adherence to veterinary standards. Conduct laboratory tests, prepare samples, and operate diagnostic equipment such as X-ray machines and blood analyzers to support accurate diagnoses. Maintain cleanliness of the clinic environment, sterilize instruments, and uphold infection control protocols to ensure an aseptic environment. Requirements Proven experience along with a solid understanding of animal anatomy and veterinary terminology. Hands-on veterinary technician experience. Laboratory experience including sample collection, processing, etc. Strong dog handling skills coupled with animal restraint expertise to manage various species safely. Familiarity with X-ray operation, animal catheterization techniques, and aseptic procedures. Ability to communicate effectively with team members while maintaining a positive attitude toward pet owners.
