Full Job Description Who We Are:
The Hospital for Veterinary Surgery is a new, purpose-built surgical center in the heart of Greenwich's West End. Spanning 10,000+ square feet and designed from the ground up, we're bringing advanced specialty care services to a region that has long needed greater access to expert veterinary services. This is our second HVS location, and we're building it with the same focus that made our first a destination for exceptional patient outcomes, supportive and transparent team culture, and forward-thinking medicine. As we expand our services, we're seeking a skilled, motivated Veterinary Technician to join our growing Internal Medicine team. This is an opportunity to work alongside board-certified specialists managing complex medical cases while utilizing advanced diagnostics, developing deep clinical expertise, and building meaningful relationships with patients and their families throughout their treatment journey. Whether your background is in general practice, emergency or specialty care, you'll be supported by an experienced team and have access to the resources, technology, and mentorship needed to grow your skills in a progressive specialty environment.
What You'll Do:
Provide compassionate, hands-on care to Internal Medicine and hospitalized patients Assist with advanced diagnostics including endoscopy, ultrasound, and specialty procedures Place and maintain IV catheters, administer medications, and monitor treatment plans Collect and process laboratory samples including blood, urine, fecal, and cytology specimens Monitor hospitalized patients receiving fluid therapy, nutritional support, and complex medical care Support patient workups through blood pressure monitoring, sample collection, and diagnostic testing Communicate with clients during appointments, updates, and discharges Educate pet owners on medications, treatment plans, and long-term disease management Work closely with a collaborative team of specialists, doctors, and fellow nurses Contribute to a supportive, respectful hospital culture built on shared purpose and mutual trust
What We Require:
1-2+ years of experience as a Veterinary Technician or nurse in GP, ER, or specialty Certified Veterinary Technicians or Licensed Veterinary Technicians are encouraged to apply Experience with practice management software, (ezyVet is our in-house platform) Adaptability, being able to pivot effortlessly while demonstrating a positive attitude with clients and co-workers Highly organized and acute attention to detail Sound judgment with the ability to work ethically, independently, and responsibly Dedication to excellent service for each client and patient and respect for coworkers Flexibility, curiosity, and the desire to help build something new
What We Offer:
The salary range for this role is: $36-$39 per hour. This salary range represents our target hiring range for this role. The proposed salary will be dependent on the candidate's skills, experience, and competencies.
