Job Description
We Love Pets and It Shows! Meadowrun Affordable Pet Care is seeking a skilled, experienced and caring Veterinary Technician/Nurse to provide assistance to the Veterinarians of the hospital in the medical care of its feline and canine patients. We are excited to add to our veterinary care team. All of our team treats each other, patients and clients like family. If you are an experienced reliable Veterinary Technician our caring team would love to have you be part of our Veterinary Family. Job Requirements for the Veterinary Technician position: The right candidate should have at least three (3) years of experience assisting Veterinarians with patient care and medical treatments including: Medication administration, vaccine administration, acquiring laboratory samples and processing in-house lab samples, anesthesia induction, IV catheter placement, monitoring anesthesia for surgical procedures, surgical preparation, hospitalized patient care, wound care, emergency care, restraint, laser therapy, digital radiology familiarity, euthanasia protocols, and possess the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners and medical staff. Must be able to use Windows based computer systems, word processing, email, web search and type at least 25 words per minute. Basic math and writing skills are necessary. Safely lifting 30 to 50 pounds and proper ability to restraint animals are required as well.
